Communications Specialist

We're looking for two marketers who love creating content ensuring it meets the brand’s voice and audience’s needs. Can you transform academic, scientific or complex content into something easy to understand, inspirational and vibrant? As a Communications Specialist, you’d strive to understand business goals and user needs, then deliver client-centric, compelling, clear, relevant and consistent content that brings the two together. The Communications Specialists are part of our marketing department’s creative team and serve as writers, editors and communications strategists developing content across all channels – web, email, presentations, media, print, press releases, etc.

The Communications Specialist’s primary responsibility is creating sales and marketing communications to support our brand refresh, including: catalogues, sales support tools, marketing campaigns, and website content.

Job Type: 1 x Full Time/ Perm

Reports to: Marketing Director

You will be among our top candidates if your past responsibilities align with this position’s responsibilities:

  • Writing, and planning print and web content for internal communications, as well as external communications including sales and marketing
  • Transforming academic or scientific content into inspirational and vibrant content
  • Writing a variety of content in a number of different styles and tones, ensuring consistency of brand voice across all marketing communications
  • Editing your own work and others with impeccable spelling and grammar
  • Researching and identifying the best practices specific to industry and key audience segments
  • Following and recommending additions to brand guidelines for the tone, style and voice
  • Ensuring all content is optimized for SEO search and user experience
  • Brainstorming and conceptualizing new forms of content and communication strategies
  • Updating job related knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Education & Experience

  • Natural health enthusiast
  • Experience working in the health or consumer packaged goods (CPG) space
  • Experience writing for product marketing
  • Experience collaborating with other Communications Specialists, Graphic Designers, and Web      Developers
  • Experience ideating and producing influential and creative copy
