Eleutherococcus senticosus (Eleuthero) also known as Siberian ginseng, is an herb native to China, Japan and Russia. It has been used historically as an adaptogen; a compound that helps the body adjust to stressors. Eleuthero also provides stimulating effects, which can support energy levels and reduce fatigue.
Eleuthro has developed a long-standing reputation as an effective adaptogenic herb. Studies have shown that Eleuthro has powerful immune-modulating or immune-balancing effects. In clinical trials, Eleuthro has been shown to increase the number of lymphocytes and also increase phagocytic function in neutrophils.
