Pro Adapt contains a carefully formulated blend of adaptogenic herbs, adrenal-supporting vitamins, and an adrenal glandular. These include pantethine (the active coenzyme form of vitamin B5), vitamin C, wellknown botanicals like rhodiola, ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), and Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus).
Pro Adapt is designed to help the body deal with stress more efficiently and effectively by stimulating the adrenal glands to help manage the stress response, prevent fatigue, and improve immune function and adrenal hormone regulation.
Pro Adapt is a helpful support for those under chronic stress, or those who react poorly, physically and mentally, to acute stress.
Pro Adapt is our bestselling stress relief product and one of our bestselling products overall because it works. It provides therapeutic doses and potency of each ingredient and key constituents, combining orthomolecular nutrition with a time-tested glandular, and clinically proven herbs.
Pro Adapt contains adrenal gland extract and adaptogens, which are used in herbal medicine to help improve performance after periods of mental or physical stress. Pro Adapt helps to relieve general weakness and aids during convalescence.
AOR™ guarantees that all ingredients have been declared on the label. Contains no wheat, gluten, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, sulphites, mustard, soy, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish.

Chronic stress can result in adrenal insufficiency or adrenal fatigue. Common symptoms include fatigue, depression, sleep disturbance, and lowered immune function (frequent colds or other infections). Adaptogens in their truest sense act by enhancing the resistance stage of stress so that the body can optimally mobilize key factors to handle stress and adapt to challenges.
Vitamins B5 (pantethine) and vitamin C both play essential roles in the functioning of the adrenal glands and in adrenal hormone synthesis. Vitamin C is of particular interest for its ability to prevent immune suppression from chronic stress.
Botanical adaptogens are plants often known for their ability to withstand harsh climates and environmental elements. Rhodiola rosea has adapted to grow on the tundras of North-Central Asia. Clinically, rhodiola has been shown to enhance the body’s physical and mental endurance and productivity under stressful conditions.
Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera) is commonly used for stress support, but also for other conditions including debility, anxiety, and poor thyroid function. Double-blind, placebo-controlled studies have shown that ashwagandha significantly reduces anxiety scores, serum cortisol levels, serum C-reactive protein (CRP), blood pressure and heart rate.1
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) contains the constituent glycyrrhizin which acts to activate receptors for the mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids from the adrenal glands involved in mobilizing energy reserves in response to stress. Glycyrrhizin also helps to maintain activation of these hormones by inhibiting the enzymes responsible for degradation of adrenal hormones.
Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) has been shown to enhance immune function and improve physical performance. Its gentle and non-stimulating nature, compared to Panax ginseng, makes it a wonderful choice for those prone to anxiety and overstimulation. In one double-blind placebo controlled study, those given Siberian ginseng had a 40% reduction in heart rate response when under stress and a 60% reduction in systolic blood pressure in females undergoing cognitive challenge tests.2
AOR’s Pro Adapt also includes porcine adrenal cortex to provide peptides and nutrient cofactors to support adrenal function.
Overall, Pro Adapt has you covered when it comes to stress and adrenal insufficiency. For the stressed student, the overworked careerist, the burnt-out mother or caregiver, or for those prone to worry and anxiety, Pro Adapt offers a carefully formulated combination of botanical extracts and adrenal supporting nutrients.
