Vitamin K2: Pro Bones features a 50/50 blend of both MK-4 and MK-7 forms of vitamin K2. Doses of 60 mcg of MK-7 have been shown to significantly activate osteocalcin and keep it out of soft tissue. MK-4 has been successfully used for bone health for decades and is the primary form found in the human body.
Magnesium has been shown to slow the rate of bone turnover. Magnesium shortages result in reduced assimilation of vitamin D, and the inhibition of parathyroid hormone, leading to low blood calcium levels.
