Pro Phase II Detox

Supports detoxification pathways

  • Provides support for weight management
  • Formulated with broccoli extract for cellular detoxification
  • Promotes healthy estrogen metabolism

Pro Phase II Detox contains calcium D-glucarate, the probiotic Bifidobacterium longum, and broccoli extract to aid with cellular detoxification. Cellular protection through healthy detoxification is associated with reduced risk for the development of a number of cancers, and for optimal cardiovascular, endocrine, and gastrointestinal function.

Pro Phase II Detox promotes healthy estrogen metabolism for both men and women, which is useful for estrogen dominant conditions.

Promoting phase II detoxification is protective against the accumulation of molecules implicated as risk factors for many cancers, cardiovascular disease, stroke and hypertension, and endocrine disorders. Estrogen dominant conditions, for example, are related to improper elimination or metabolism of estrogens.

Through glucuronidation, toxic substances, environmental carcinogens and excess levels of estrogen are neutralized, and then eliminated from the body. This process can be disrupted by the enzyme β-glucuronidase, which acts to reactivate the neutralized toxins.

The primary action of D-glucarate is to inhibit the enzyme β-glucuronidase, thereby promoting detoxification and also encouraging healthy estrogen metabolism.

A naturally occurring substance found in broccoli, sulforaphane is a potent inducer of phase II liver detoxification enzymes. Research has shown that sulforaphane acts directly to inhibit cancer cell growth and initiate apoptosis of cancer cells. When it comes to women’s health, sulforaphane has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cells, and reduce their expression of estrogen receptors.

Bifidobacterium longum (BB536)

This highly beneficial probiotic strain has been shown to help promote detoxification and promote normal cell growth. Evidence has shown that this particular species acts to enhance the immune system, suppress the growth of harmful bacteria that secrete toxins, and bind and eliminate toxic substances.
