Following 12 weeks of supplementation, this randomized double blind placebo controlled trial had 98 subjects with high cholesterol. There was a significant decrease in total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-cholesterol and VLDL cholesterol levels in the amla supplementation group, compared to the placebo group.
