This review from 2023 evaluates extraction methods of the active phytoconstituents and pharmacognostic, physiochemical, phytochemical and quantitative analysis parameters, and the different pharmacological modes of action for ayurvedic plants traditionally used for the management of blood pressure. Concluding that Boerhavia diffusa consists of active ingredients: Liriodendron & Syringaresinol mono β-D-Glucosidase which can exhibit Ca2+ channel antagonistic activiRty.
