Chanca Piedra is the Spanish name given to the herb Phyllanthus niruri that is native to the Amazonian region of South America. The term “Chanca Piedra” literally means “stone breaker”.
Phyllanthus niruri is traditionally used in Ayurveda as a diuretic (Mutrala) to help relieve mild urinary tract infections.
