Eleuthero
Eleutherococcus senticosus (Eleuthero) also known as Siberian ginseng, is an herb native to China, Japan and Russia. It has been used historically as an adaptogen; a compound that helps the body adjust to stressors. While it is not technically a true ginseng botanical, E. senticosus shares similar beneficial properties with its close relatives from the Panax family of plants. The European Medicines Agency classifies this herb “as a tonic for invigoration in fatigue and impairment, in decreasing capability and power of concentration as well as in reconvalescence”.
Eleuthro has developed a long-standing reputation as an effective adaptogenic herb.
