Vitamin D, sometimes referred to as the sunshine vitamin, helps the body regulate calcium levels in the blood, bones and tissues, aiding proper calcium and phosphorus absorption to promote bone growth and remodeling.
The skin synthesizes Vitamin D after exposure to UV rays from sunlight. However, many people lack sufficient amounts due to limited sunlight exposure, especially during winter in the northern hemisphere. Deficiencies in Vitamin D are associated with numerous health conditions including osteoporosis, rickets, autoimmune conditions, SAD (seasonal affective disorder), chronic pain and frequent infections. Those who likely need to supplement with extra vitamin D include the elderly, northern hemisphere residents in winter and people with chronic diseases.

Adult dosage
Take one capsule per day with an adequate intake of calcium, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond six months.
Cautions
Do not use this product if you have hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney disorders, or if you are taking other supplements or products containing vitamin D or vitamin D analogues.
