Receiving Specialist

Our market leading premium products are manufactured and distributed primarily to specialty retailers throughout Canada and the United States. Headquartered in Calgary, AOR is in search of an experienced Shipping Associate to join our team.

AOR is seeking a meticulous and hard working Receiving Specialist. Past experience of 3 years is required.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding packing slips for inbound orders. Checks shipping pack slip to ensure all items are accounted for.  
• Compiling purchase order details versus product for goods received and entry to inventory system.
• Controls/manages products as it enters facility, is identified by control labels and stored for production orders.
• Fulfills production request for materials from warehouse by way of pick lists, following FIFO and product lot numbers. Moving materials into staging room for consumption.
• Periodically conducts cycle count to on hand inventory for assurance of accuracy.
• Works as a liaison between QA/QC for status of materials, helps to control out of specification or expired goods.
• Reports any unresolved problems or discrepancies to manager or direct supervisor.
• Accepts and signs for deliveries from carriers.
• Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck.
• Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock, around warehouse and up to production.
• Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary.
• Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location.
• Conducts physical count of stored product. Updates inventory accordingly upon return from production.
• Maintains records of all received shipments.
• Ensures that warehouse is clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Is familiar with inventory software.
• Possesses physical strength necessary to lift and move product boxes/skids. * Pays close attention to detail.
• Works well with a team.
• Manages time efficiently.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Maintains professional and polite demeanor when dealing with others.
• Is capable of operating shipping machinery for daily operation and tasks.

Working Conditions:

• Time will be spent on feet all day
• Lifting and moving items (up to 50 lbs.) are required on a daily basis.
• Standard 40 hr. work week.
