Coffea canephora
Green coffee beans (GCB) or raw coffee beans, are coffee beans that are not exposed to heat by roasting. Roasting coffee beans can kill much of the chlorogenic acid.
Chlorogenic acid is a polyphenol found in coffee and black tea with potential antioxidant activities. This important polyphenol works in the body to scavenge free radicals, which can reduce the damage to DNA.
