Magnesium is a mineral that is involved in over 300 biochemical processes in the body. One of its most important functions is that it plays a key role in producing energy and maintaining muscle, heart and nerve function. Glycine is well known as a calming amino acid, and is combined with magnesium in Magnesium Glycinate. This combination is easily absorbed and does not have a laxative effect like some forms of magnesium.
