Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) is a naturally occurring compound found in all living cells. It is also present in small amounts in certain foods, including immature soybean pods (edamame), legumes, cabbage, mushrooms and other fruits and vegetables. In the body, NMN functions as a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD⁺), a coenzyme that plays an essential role in normal cellular energy metabolism and enzymatic reactions.
β‑NMN is water‑soluble and has been shown to be readily absorbed, appearing in the bloodstream within approximately 30 minutes following oral intake.
