Zen Theanine® contains L-theanine, a calming amino acid which is sought out for its ability to temporarily promote relaxation. L-theanine is a unique amino acid found almost exclusively in green tea. It helps reduce nervousness and restlessness, promoting relaxation but without causing drowsiness. L-theanine takes effect within 30-40 minute. L-theanine is thought to reduce feeling of stress by inhibiting some of the stress responses from the central nervous system.
